We collect only what we need to fulfill your order or deliver the service you've requested. We do not sell your data.

• Custom book orders: When you request a custom Made For You coloring book, we collect the child's name, your name, your email address, your shipping address, character details, scenario preferences, and any photo you upload. This information is used solely to produce and ship your order.
• Email signups: When you subscribe for free printables, we collect your email address. You may also tell us where you heard about us.
• Donations: If you make a donation, Stripe processes your payment information. We receive only your donation amount and email (if provided) — never your full card number.
• Payment data: All payment card information is handled exclusively by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or billing PIN.
• Automatically collected data: When you visit our site, we may collect basic usage data such as your browser type, pages visited, and referral source. This data is anonymized and used only to improve our site.

2How We Use Information

We use your information for the following purposes only:

• Order fulfillment: To produce and ship your custom coloring book, including emailing you a PDF version of your book where applicable.
• Customer communication: To respond to your inquiries and send order confirmations, shipping updates, or fulfillment emails.
• Email newsletters: To send free printables and occasional updates to subscribers. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• Donation processing: To record and receipt your donation.
• Site improvement: To understand how visitors use our site so we can make it more useful. This data is aggregated and anonymized.

3Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your information only as long as we need it:

• Custom order records: Retained for at least 2 years after your order is fulfilled, primarily for our records and any re-print needs.
• Email subscriptions: Retained until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time.
• Uploaded photos: Deleted after your order PDF is generated and delivered, unless you have an active order in progress.
• Donation records: Retained for at least 3 years for accounting and tax documentation purposes.

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing safecolorstudios@gmail.com. We will confirm deletion within 30 days.

4Children's Privacy (COPPA Compliance)

We take children's privacy seriously. Our coloring books are designed for children, and we are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

• We do not collect information from children directly. All information about children (name, preferences, photos) is provided by a parent or guardian through our order form.
• Parental consent: By submitting a custom book order, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and have the authority to provide their information.
• No child accounts: We do not create accounts for children. Children do not have logins or profiles on our site.
• Data minimization: We collect only the child information necessary to produce your custom book.
• Photos of children: Photos uploaded for custom books are used exclusively for that order and are not shared, published, or used in any marketing.

5Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our business:

We carefully select service providers who take data protection seriously. Third-party services are used only for the specific purpose of operating our store and fulfilling orders.

6Stripe Payment Processing

All payments — for custom books and donations — are processed by Stripe, a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor.

• Card data never touches our servers. When you enter your card details, they go directly to Stripe over an encrypted connection.
• We receive only a transaction token. This token allows us to issue refunds and track payment status. It is not your card number.

• Donations and custom orders are separate payment flows. Each has its own Stripe payment link. We do not combine payment data across transactions.

SafeColorStudios does not store, transmit, or process any raw payment card data.

7Cookies

We use minimal cookies to operate our site:

• Essential cookies: Required for the site to function — for example, maintaining your session when you access the admin panel. These cannot be disabled without breaking functionality.
• Analytics cookies: We may use anonymized analytics to understand how visitors use our site. This data does not identify you personally.
